Welcome!

The Association of Colorado State Patrol Professionals (ACSPP) is a membership organization made up of employees of the Colorado State Patrol (CSP). The ACSPP was created to assist CSP employees in a variety of ways. In return for paying monthly dues, the ACSPP hires a lobbyist to work at the Colorado General Assembly for their pay, benefits and working conditions. ACSPP Members also are eligible for discounted personal insurance policies, have access to an optional Legal Defense plan, get the Colorado State Trooper magazine, receive discounts at the ACSPP Online Store, and have a death benefit.

Members also qualify for benefits from the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation (CSPFF) including college scholarships, hardship assistance, and a college education for surviving dependants of Troopers killed in the line of duty.

State Employee Pay Progression Legislation

HB-1409 AS PROMISED, GOVERNOR BILL RITTER VETOED THIS BILL ON JUNE 7, 2010.  THE ACSPP WILL NOW MOVE ON AND HOPE THAT THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION WILL BE MORE SYMPATHETIC AND WILLING TO WORK TOWARDS A SOLUTION IN A TIMELY MANNER.  WE ARE BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED THAT DESPITE OUR WILLINGNESS TO MAKE WHATEVER CHANGES THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE REQUESTED (OTHER THAN TO CONTINUE THE 8 YEAR STUDY OF THE PROBLEM FOR AWHILE LONGER), THE BILL WAS STILL VETOED.  THE ACSPP IS VERY DISTRESSED THAT STATE EMPLOYEES WILL CONTINUE TO BE UNDERPAID (WITH A 2 1/2% PAY DECREASE FOR 2020-2011) DESPITE THEIR DEDICATION TO THEIR JOB.
