Survey on Colorado State Patrol (CSP) Complaint Policy/Administration:

Due to concerns about the current CSP policy on complaints and/or the administration thereof, the ACSPP is conducting a survey of its Members that are current employees of the CSP regardiing this issue.  Through this survey, the ACSPP will be better prepared to discuss this issue with the Command Staff of the CSP and potentially make adjustments based upon the feedback from this survey.  To complete this survey, you must log in as a Member to the web site.  For those of you who are Members of the ACSPP and have not yet activated your account, please follow the directions below.  If you have any trouble creating your account, please call Annette at 303-549-2145.

TO ACTIVATE YOUR ACSPP WEB SITE ACCOUNT

 

1.     Go to www.acspp.net

2.     Click on “Current Members” on the left side of the page

3.     In the first paragraph, click on “create a user account

4.     Enter your “Web Account Name and “Web Account Password” (you must enter your password twice and you can use whatever you want for these two items)

5.     Enter your PERSONAL email address

6.     Enter your “first and last name” as it appears on the employee records

7.     Use the pull down menu to put in your “Date of birth

8.     Enter your “IBM Code

9.     Click on “Submit

 

 

 

Historic Partnership Agreement Signed:

On May 11, 2009, the ACSPP, the Colorado Department of Public Safety, the Colorado State Patrol, and the Governor's Designee for Partnership Agreements pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order; signed the first Partnership Agreement in the history of Colorado State Government.  This document is simply the ground rules for this Partnership while the Action Items developed by the ACSPP Board of Directors identifies issues the Partnership will be working on.  The agreement is for three (3) years and can be seen in its entirety under the News & Articles tab on the left of this screen.

 

Update on Sergeant Buxton Demers:

Buck continues to fight his cancer and is now in hospice at their home in Johnstown.  The family has requests that phone calls NOT be placed at this time.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. Demers and his family.

Attention: Rate Reduction for PORAC (LDF):  The ACSPP has received notice that effective with the July 2009 payroll, due to the low experience of our Members, there will be a rate reduction.  Each Member will pay $4.00 per month less for this coverage.  Please note: MEMBERS UTILIZING PAYROLL DEDUCTION MUST SUBMIT A NEW PAYROLL DEDUCTION FORM TO THE ACSPP OFFICE NO LATER THAN JULY 10, 2009, IN ORDER TO GET THIS $4.00 MONTHLY REDUCTION.  This form can be downloaded from the Forms and Resources tab when you log onto this web site as a Member.  If you have not established your web account, please call the ACSPP office at 303-237-7439 or 1-800-426-1224.

If your dues are paid by ACH from your checking account you do not need to take any action.  The ACSPP will automatically reduce your monthly deduction by $4.00 - that is if you have the Legal Defense Fund insurance from PORAC.
