Gerald R. Williams

Patrolman Williams was killed while assisting two motorists on December 16, 1967 near Rocky Ford on Colorado 50. One motorist was out of gas, and the other was stuck in the median. While Williams was walking on the roadway, he was hit by a vehicle driven by a La Junta man. Williams was transported to a hospital in La Junta and was pronounced dead on arrival.
