Bio

Trooper Templeton died on October 12, 2007 from injuries sustained while assisting a motorist on October 11, 2007. Trooper Templeton and another trooper were assisting a motorist in the center median of I-76 in Adams County, CO when they were struck by another vehicle.

Memorial service information

Trooper Templeton is survived by his 3 year old daughter Samantha, his mother and father Teresa and Doug, as well as his brother Levi and his girlfriend Holly. A fund has been established for those wishing to make monetary donations to the family which include Zach's three year old daughter Samantha. Trooper Templeton was best described by fellow troopers and supervisors as an individual with a big heart and willingness to help others. It is that desire to serve which led Templeton to respond to the call of a fellow officer. He served the citizens of Colorado with dignity and honor for four years following his graduation from the CSP Academy in 2003.
