James K. Farris

Trooper Farris was killed while pursuing an eastbound traffic violator near Frisco on Interstate 70 on November 29, 1980. During the pursuit, the patrol car went out of control, ran off the road, and rolled. Farris was wearing his seatbelt, but the force of the rollover was so severe that he sustained critical injuries. He died a short time later at Summit Medical Center in Frisco, CO.
